Random Thoughts While Awaiting The Golden Call

It has been twelve days to be exact since I received my successful email from Emirates Airline and it actually felt like a year has already passed. Maybe I am just too excited for the things that’s gonna happen next year. I still can’t imagine that from thousands of hopefuls, I was one of the chosen few.

Some of my friends asked me if what excites me the most. I told them that I am so stoked about wearing the Emirates uniform. I can’t wait to see myself walking inside the airport with my colleagues, heading off to our boarding gate not as a passenger anymore but as a handsome *lol* cabin crew, pulling our suitcases and being gazed upon by the airport crowd. That must be the most amazing feeling!

As what I have written on my previous entries, being a flight attendant is my biggest childhood dream. It is something that I really wanted to do before I die and I am ready to do whatever it takes just for me to have this job. Now I know the feeling of chasing after your dreams. It was indeed an adventure, a total game changer and probably the most rewarding experience of my life so far. Sometimes, opportunity knocks twice. If it is really meant for you, then surely it will come. From that very day I received my second invitation, I knew that it is really meant for me. Now that it is already in my hands, I’m ready to bring it! Time to put my game face on because the physical demands of being a cabin crew are nothing compared to the great experiences and rewards that lies ahead of me.

Sidenote: If by any chance you are lost in translation with these abbreviations, please reread this entry (Emirates Cabin Crew Wannabe’s Dictionary).

Hopefully I will be talking about my golden call on my next blog entry.

Congratulations!! I’ve been flying with emirates for 2 months now and I love every minute of it! I’m not sure if it’s just girls but I had to wait 7 months from when I got my on hold email to my golden call. It killed me ahah! Fingers crossed your call is soon ✈️
